Senior Advisor for Examiner Workforce Planning
Karen Kwilosz is the Senior Advisor for Examiner Workforce Planning in Midsize and Community Bank Supervision at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
In this role, Ms. Kwilosz oversees several initiatives related to staffing, including projection and coordination of future bank supervision resource needs. In addition, she leads various initiatives related to precommissioned examiner development, administers the OCC's LeaderTRACK program, and oversees the agency's Uniform Commission Examination and the National Bank Examination and Related Services Contracting programs. She assumed these duties in December of 2012.
From 2002 through 2012, Ms. Kwilosz served as Director for Operational Risk Policy in the OCC's Chief National Bank Examiner’s Office. In that role, she oversaw the development of regulatory policy for national banks in corporate governance, audit and controls, payments systems, and supervision by risk.
Ms. Kwilosz spent the early years of her OCC career examining banks in the Denver area. She transferred to the OCC’s headquarters office in Washington, D.C. in 1995 and managed the Training Operations Division for seven years.
Ms. Kwilosz is a native of Chicago and was graduated from Millikin University in 1982.
