Kay Kowitt

Kay Kowitt is the Deputy Comptroller for the Western District in the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). She is responsible for the supervision of 390 national banks and federal savings associations.

She is based in Denver, Colorado and supervises a staff of 400, who operate out of 15 field offices and 7 satellite offices.

Prior to becoming the Deputy Comptroller, Ms. Kowitt worked in the OCC headquarters in Washington, D.C., serving as the Senior Advisor to the Senior Deputy Comptroller for Midsize and Community Bank Supervision. In her 28 years at the OCC, she has served as a field manager and problem bank analyst in San Francisco, California, and as a field examiner in Portland, Oregon.

Ms. Kowitt is a graduate of the University of Oregon, with a degree in management.
