PURPOSE:

Attached is a joint policy statement by the Federal Financial Institutions
Examination Council (FFIEC). This policy updates procedures for joint or
rotated examinations of data centers providing services to insured
financial institutions supervised by more than one federal regulatory
agency. It also provides policy for the administration of the
Multiregional Data Processing Servicer (MDPS) program.

The attached policy statement replaces BC-109, dated May 31, 1978, and its
supplement. It reflects only minor changes, except those concerning
distribution of reports and, for MDPS, examination scheduling.
