OCC Deputy Comptroller for Community Affairs Addresses the Summit on Housing
WASHINGTON — Deputy Comptroller for Community Affairs Barry Wides highlighted community stabilization in the foreclosure crisis on a panel today of the Summit on Housing: Partnering for Responsible Policy sponsored by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Treasury.
The Office of the Comptroller of
the Currency was created by Congress to charter national banks, to oversee a
nationwide system of banking institutions, and to assure that national banks
