MAJOR DUTIES: As a Program Specialist, serves as a professional in the Enforcement and Compliance Division. You will provide program guidance and advice, plan and implement process improvements, and track and monitor performance in the areas relating to an enforcement and compliance program. In addition, you will perform investigative, training, and administrative duties in support of the Enforcement and Compliance Division. You will be responsible for: Providing advice, interpretations, and guidance to other Enforcement and Compliance (E&C) professional staff, the general public, bank executives, bank counsel, and OCC personnel to support the operational objectives of E&C. Administering, managing, and analyzing an enforcement and compliance program by entering cases into databases, processing enforcement cases, including communicating with banks, law enforcement, and others to obtain case evidence, and developing and maintaining reports concerning case processing. Serving as the department liaison, coordinating, and leading administrative staff in processing enforcement and compliance cases, implementing new policies and procedures, and establishing consistent processes for administrative and operational functions and making recommendations for improvement. Preparing training materials, leading training sessions, and providing guidance to support personnel involved in the processing of cases. Performing legal and investigative research on enforcement related matters, participating in investigative assignments, and providing enforcement case support. Responding to highly technical, sensitive, and difficult questions related to national banking laws and OCC regulations and policies in assigned area. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: This position requires one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NB-IV. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is evidenced by performing a variety of progressively responsible and high-level assignments or activities associated with: conducting legal and investigative research on enforcement and/or compliance related matters, analyzing and interpreting data, and presenting findings orally and in writing.
