Katherine Tom

Katherine TomDirector of Data and Analytical Solutions

Katherine Tom serves as Director of Data and Analytical Solutions in the Economics Department at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

In this capacity, Ms. Tom is responsible for the management of the data resources, development of analytical reporting solutions, and conducting technology research and development of information systems support economic research and analysis. In addition, Ms. Tom leads the interim Data Governance team to implement an Enterprise Data Governance framework in OCC.

Ms. Tom joined the OCC in 2009 as a Deputy Director in the Data and Analytical Solutions division to lead the data management team. Before joining the OCC she was a director at Freddie Mac where she provided enterprise level operational risk oversight and managed single family operations risks and performance reporting.

Ms. Tom earned a bachelor degree in business administration from Peking University, China, and a master degree in economics from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Ms. Tom is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
