Roy Madsen

Roy MadsenDeputy Comptroller for Strategic Management

Roy Madsen is the Deputy Comptroller for Strategic Management at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

In this role, Mr. Madsen oversees the Office of Strategic Management, which coordinates, manages, and measures the agency’s strategic planning strategic planning and management processes as well as coordinates the agency’s employee engagement process. He assumed this role in April 2015.

Since joining the OCC in 1979 as a Budget Analyst, Mr. Madsen has served a variety of managerial roles of increasing scope and complexity. He has served as Assistant Chief Financial Officer for Financial Policy, Planning, and review; Deputy Chief Financial Officer; Director for Operations Research; and Director for Performance Improvements.

Mr. Madsen holds a master of science in taxation from American University, a master of business administration in finance from George Washington University, and a bachelor of arts from Bates College. He also is Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma and is a certified public accountant.
