Supervision System & Analytical Support (SSAS) provides routine and ad hoc analysis in support of supervision management, supervisory staff, subject matter experts and the National Risk Committee facilitating consistent and systemic assessments of emerging risk and supervisory issues confronting the federal banking system and how OCC will respond to those risks.
SSAS is comprised of Supervision Systems and Data Management, Business Intelligence, Risk Analysis, and Supervision Risk Management staff. The team provides support across the agency and provides broad national perspective to the agency’s work.
Mr. Phelps serves as the Chair of the National Risk Committee and serves on numerous other committees within the OCC. SSAS also facilitates the development and production of the OCC's Semiannual Risk Perspective.

The Business Intelligence & Analytic Reporting Team enable Committee on Bank Supervision units to ensure a safe and sound federal banking system by providing efficient and effective information that is accurate, timely, and actionable for use in supervision planning, allocation of resources, execution, and monitoring of individual institution and portfolio monitoring.
The Supervision Analysis Team enable Committee on Bank Supervision units to identify, measure, and monitor risks to the federal banking system by transforming data into timely meaningful analysis and insights through collaboration.
SRM is responsible for planning and managing activities supporting the National Risk Committee. SRM products and work done by SRM provide input to facilitate consistent and systematic risk assessment of supervision systemic and supervision risk.
The Supervision Support Team supports supervision data and systems used in supervision processes and activities.
