CRA Banker Roundtable

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation are sponsoring a Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Roundtable titled “Expanding Small Business Development and Capital Access in Illinois,” on October 18, 2023. Designed for bankers, this in-person event will provide background on the CRA, small business lending, and community development lending. It will also showcase programs that have been successful in reaching under-resourced entrepreneurs. Roundtable presenters will discuss the impact of bank activities supporting these entrepreneurs, and participants will learn how to overcome challenges in reaching this market. Additionally, participating bankers will learn how their institutions can benefit from serving this market segment, including receiving CRA consideration. Representatives of organizations such as community development financial institutions, loan funds, micro-lenders, philanthropic organizations, financial institutions (chief financial officers, lending officers, CRA officers, community development managers/directors), and government agencies engaged in small business lending should consider attending.
