The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Louisiana Housing Corporation, the National Credit Union Association, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development are hosting the Louisiana Statewide Homeownership Think Tank Roundtable on September 8, 2023, at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, La. The roundtable takes place during the National Historically Black Colleges and Universities Week and is designed to expand homeownership opportunities, especially for communities of color across Louisiana, and pay tribute to Southern University’s legacy of promoting equal opportunities. The roundtable will bring together financial institutions; potential home buyers; affordable housing providers; community leaders; and federal, state, and local agencies. The roundtable will focus on educational presentations, tools, and resources designed to elevate the understanding of the home-buying process and highlight home-buying best practices. The event features exhibits and provides an opportunity to answer participants’ questions about becoming homeowners and solicit their opinions on financial services and products. Registration is required. To register, please visit LA Homeownership Think Tank.
