Suspicious Transactions: Lost and Stolen Cashier's Checks

To: Chief Executive Officers of all National Banks; all State Banking Authorities; Chairman, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System; Chairman, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; Conference of State Bank Supervisors; Deputy Comptrollers (Districts); Assistant Deputy Comptrollers; District Counsel and Examining Personnel

Information has been received that cashier's checks bearing numbers 000175601 through, and including, 000176400 are missing and presumed stolen. To date five such items have been presented for payment. A specimen copy is attached.
