Robert Scavotto, Ph.D
Robert Scavotto is the Deputy Director for the International Analysis and Banking Condition Division at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Mr. Scavotto’s work focuses on assessing country risk and stress testing. He has worked on stress testing policy, including the OCC’s Annual Stress Test rule, development of scenarios, and reviewing the application of international stress scenarios at large, internationally active banks under the Dodd-Frank Act.
Prior to joining the OCC in 1997, Mr. Scavotto was an economist with the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He received his Ph.D. and MA degrees in economics from Pennsylvania State University and a BA in economics and government/international relations from Clark University.
