Sean Lewis-Faupel is a financial economist in the Compliance Risk Analysis Division within Economics at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

Dr. Lewis-Faupel joined the OCC in 2016. His research examines disparities and dynamics in wages and education with a focus on the effects of public policy, credit constraints, and social interactions. He also studies the microeconomic impacts of new technology. Dr. Lewis-Faupel holds a Ph.D. and MS in economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University.
