Military Lending Act (MLA)

The Military Lending Act (MLA) provides protections for active duty service members and covered dependents from predatory lending practices that could negatively impact their financial well-being.

The act covers:

• Credit cards
• Payday loans
• Tax refund anticipation loans
• Vehicle title loans
• Private student loans
